The freshness of Sonoro Pinot Grigio makes it an incredibly versatile food wine. It pairs exceptionally with stuffed sardines and steamed fish such as sole, which brings out the herbal notes in the wine.
Pairing perfectly with creamy mozzarella and other young, soft cheeses
This Pinot Grigio also has enough body to stand up to richer dishes such as a creamy smoked salmon pasta or white cheese lasagna.
Tenuta di Angoris, home of Sonoro wines, is the oldest winery in Friuli and was given to Locatello Locatelli, the original owner, by the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 1648. The Friuli area embraces small production, high quality wines. Since 1968 the winery has been managed by the family of Giulio Locatelli: his son Luciano
before him and his granddaughter Marta is now keeping alive this estate and the fruits that the land donates.
A company that has 371 years of history is bound to be deeply rooted in the past, but is also projected towards the future. Because of the familial and historic roots intertwined with the winery, they have decided to adopt sustainable production, that preserves the land for the future. That is why Angoris constantly updates and innovate the equipment (both in the vineyard and in the cellar): this allows a guarantee of quality without upsetting tradition, or the environment.
