Welcome to the Village…as it is affectionately called by those who live on the grounds of Domaine Sainte Marie. Known as the “jewel of Provence”, Domaine Sainte Marie is ideally located just 15 km inland from Saint Tropez, tucked away in a beautiful valley that provides a natural oasis for the vineyards to thrive in every essence. Domaine Sainte Marie stands high with its principle and belief in the power of deep human connection and balance. To them, winemaking is not a job, it’s a way of life. Christopher Duburcq, the proprietor of Domaine Sainte has developed an “obsession” with creating premium Rosé in the most natural ways possible, which sometimes means breaking away from convention or doing things the hard way. Why? “Because it’s the right thing to do.” Christopher believes in the power of community, biodiversity and the relationship between all things; plants, people, animals, land. He does this all for the love of the planet and, of course, Rosé.
With all these principles in practice, Domaine Sainte Marie has been recognized with the highest level of environmental certification, HVE-3, an award that only 2% of farms receive in all of France. HVE certification is a three-tired system that encourages farms and vineyards to focus on increasing biodiversity and decreasing the negative environmental impact of their phyto-sanitary strategy. After years of hard work, while guided by the principles of nature, this certificate is indeed something that makes Domaine Sainte Marie very special.
