Sonoro Sauvignon Blanc lends itself well to dishes with fresh herbs and greens, such as fennel, spinach, watercress, arugula, and most green leaf salad vegetables. Try this wine with spices, chili pastes and curry-based recipes.
Sonoro also pairs well with grilled or smoked white meats, such as pork, chicken or veal.
The most ideal pairing for this wine is seafood, shellfish and sushi; but this structured and well-balanced wine allows one to be creative.
Tenuta di Angoris, home of Sonoro wines, is the oldest winery in Friuli and was given to Locatello Locatelli, the original owner, by the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 1648. The Friuli area embraces small production, high quality wines. Since 1968 the winery has been managed by the family of Giulio Locatelli: his son Luciano
before him and his granddaughter Marta is now keeping alive this estate and the fruits that the land donates.
A company that has 371 years of history is bound to be deeply rooted in the past, but is also projected towards the future. Because of the familial and historic roots intertwined with the winery, they have decided to adopt sustainable production, that preserves the land for the future. That is why Angoris constantly updates and innovate the equipment (both in the vineyard and in the cellar): this allows a guarantee of quality without upsetting tradition, or the environment.
